I had an opportunity to speak at Dress for Success in Portland recently.  It’s an amazing organization.  Their mission is to, “promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.”   I donated some copies of my book to them and one of their staffers was so inspired by what they ready that they asked me to come and speak to their Professional Women’s Group.  You can see a clip below in which I talk about asking yourself if you are really ready to date:

I had a great time giving the speech and the ladies came up with some great questions. It was awesome to see those nods of understanding and laughs in all the right places.  The speech ended with some lively discussion and questions from the group and a raffle of some of my books. A number of the winners even asked me to sign their book. They were a great group. I was so inspired by the whole experience that I have signed up to be a volunteer and see how else I can help.

I can’t wait to see what other opportunities to speak come up in the future.  Bring it on!
