5 Super Simple Styles for Wet Hair

5 Super Simple Styles for Wet Hair

We've woken up for work only to realise that it isn't 7:30 like you assumed, but actually 8:30 and as luck would have it, you need to leave for work in 15 minutes and you are lookin' like a hot mess.

Or, being summer, you may be hitting the beach to catch some sun and surf. At the end of the day, if you're like me, your hair doesn't totally agree with your choices and tends to frizz out in the most unappealing manner.

My point is, like gremlins, water and hair don't mix.

To make the transition from wet to dry a breeze, we have 5 super simple hairstyles that can be easily done on the go, look great, and make your hair dry all weirdsies. Bonus! We also have a few excellent products to keep on hand for these occasions that help to keep the curls, frizzies and other undesirables under control.

Style #1: Fishtail

Um, you're pretty much a mermaid with this style, amirite? Fishtail braids are deceptively easy, check out this video or this one and let your hair dry in pretty waves and curls.

Style #2: Half Up

Super cute and polished looking even though your hair is wet? It is possible! Simply take two sections at the side, overlap and secure with a few colourful pins.

Style #3: Headband Roll

Part you hair in the centre, then place a stretchy, elastic headband over top, but don't put underneath your hair like you normally would. Instead, pull the ends of your hair into the elastic band to create a roll. Full instructions here.

Style #4: Braided Bun

This works best for longer hair. Separate your hair into three sections, braid each one and roll the braids into a bun, securing with bobby pins. Details right here.

Style #5: Twisted Messy Bun

Take two small sections on either side, twist them and tie off together with clear elastic. You could leave like this to dry, or tie up in a casual, messy bun.
